Salted Carob and Ginger Bites

I know what you’re thinking, not another bliss ball recipe!!! But THESE are amazing! They are my perfect healthy treat- not too sweet, chocolately with out the chocolate (weird right?!), a good kick of ginger and the perfect bite size snack! They will keep for a few weeks in the fridge so try doubling the recipe if you want to have a few on hand- trust me, you will 😉



  • 1 ½ flaked almonds
  • ¾ cup of sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup of coconut
  • ¾ cup of soft dates
  • 1 inch piece of ginger grated
  • 3 tablespoons of carob powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • ½ a teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of tahini
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut nectar



Place the almonds, sunflower seeds and coconut in a food processor and pulse until they break down to resemble a nut meal.

Add all the remaining ingredients and process until the mixture comes together into a sticky dough.

Roll the mixture into small balls and then roll them in coconut to coat them.

Keep the balls in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 weeks or so.
