Overnight Breakfast Jars

These little jars of goodness have become my latest obsession. I make them up the night before- they are always different and depend on what I have on hand- I alternate the layers with different types of seeds, nuts, dried and fresh fruit, oats, quinoa flakes, coconut and super foods. Then I simply fill the jar with almond milk and allow it to soak in the fridge overnight. The next morning I have a jar ready to walk out the door with and they are always delicious! Its a great way to ensure you have a healthy start to the day- one that is nourishing, satisfying and easy.



Find a glass jar that you can use to fill- a small to medium size

And then simply ayer with your favourite fillings! One of my latest combinations (pictured) uses-

  • Raw oats
  • Flaked coconut
  • Raisins
  • Flax seeds
  • Banana sliced
  • Pistachios
  • Dried fig sliced
  • Passionfruit
  • Hempseeds

Simply top with almond milk once you are done with the layers and leave in the fridge overnight to set and soak.

In the morning the jar is ready to go! You can eat it straight as is or tip it upside down into a bowl and top with a dollop of coconut yogurt.
